It may sound like we’re only planning fun and games while we’re on the road, but we will both be working while playing. I have worked remotely for over 2 years now and have a flexible schedule. As long as we have internet, my work will be unaffected. Will is currently looking for remote work as well. This is not a life of vacation; this is a lifestyle change that will allow us to be present and create the work/life balance we have often lost sight of.
In society’s view, Will should jump back into the corporate world, and we should wait until we retire to travel, explore, and adventure. We have a unique opportunity to live a life of adventure and to instill in Little Bird the idea that it is encouraged to make your own path. Life is so short, and the traditional work/life balance is anything but balanced. We are excited to make family the center of our life – to remove the clutter that we’ve accumulated in our 3-bedroom house and slow down our life that often feels like we’re running from one appointment or commitment to another.
Living a simpler life while seeing the country has been a dream of ours for as long as we’ve been dreaming of a life together. We are incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to turn our current situation into the life we’ve dreamt about. God acts in mysterious ways, and we have no doubt He is working something great in our life.
See, God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song: He has given me victory.
Isaiah 12:2
Safe travels and look forward to seeing pictures from your adventures.
